- Stage 1: Written Test:
- Stage 2: Physical Measurement Test
- Stage 3: Endurance Test
- Stage 4: Physical Efficiency Test
- Stage 5: Document Verification
High lights
- Candidates will be given 120 minutes for the completion of both sections of the written test.
- There won’t be any negative marking and to be eligible for the next stage, candidates will have to score at least 28 marks. However, a list of cutoff marks will be released. Those candidates who have scored marks equal to or more than the cut-off marks will be eligible for the next stage.
- The exam will be conducted offline.
- There are two papers that will be available in both English and Tamil Language.
- Both papers shall contain only multiple objective-type questions.
- Total marks will be 80 which are divided into two parts:

The TNUSRB SI written exam pattern consists of two parts, Part A and Part B for both open quota candidates and departmental quota candidates. The number of questions asked in each part, maximum marks, and the duration of the exam is given in the tabulated form below:
